Glama Gal Kids Spa Ajax is an inspirational and motivational kids spa and party studio. Located in historic Pickering Village, we specialize in birthday parties, arts and crafts workshops, mommy and me spa days, camps, art classes, kids events and workshops. But, we're not just any kids party studio. Since 2012, our main focus has always been inner beauty, self confidence and positivity. We strive to instill this core value in every child that walks through our doors. Our mantra: Be Confident, Be Positive, Be You.

✨ We believe in the power of positivity to make a difference in the world
At Glama Gal Ajax we have a long history of celebrating hope, positivity and togetherness. In 2020, despite the major struggles we faced as a small business trying to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, our spirit remained unshattered. As we watched our business crumble, we found hope in our community. As we struggled to keep afloat, we found a resilience we never knew existed. And as our spirit was tested like never before, we discovered that optimism is way more contagious than any contagion.
In April 2020, we launched the Glama Gal Kids Spa Ajax Your Family Matters Too program with the aim of spreading joy where it’s needed and showing love when it matters.
😊 Bringing Smiles to Frontline Families
As a part of the Your Family Matters Too program, in the summer of 2020 we hosted free virtual slime and art workshops for the children of 250 frontline workers. As they worked hard to keep our families safe, we wanted to show them that their families matter too. And we thought, what better way to show them this, than put smiles on the faces of their children. The supplies that they required for these workshops were delivered right to their porch, and the virtual workshops were conducted over several months.
🎄 Operation December to Remember
Then, in December 2020, we extended the program to support families experiencing poverty, homelessness and isolation during the holiday season.
As we all tried to keep our spirits high and social gatherings low during a pandemic ridden holiday season, we knew that it was not going to be Christmas as "usual". Especially for families in need. That's why we've set out to make it an extra special Christmas as "unusual".
With the majority of holiday events cancelled, and the ongoing pressures experienced by food banks, we worked with Feed the Need in Durham to offer a special virtual Breakfast with Santa experience to children living in shelters, families who rely on food banks across the Durham region and to the children of frontline emergency food providers.
On the day of the event these families received craft kits and a warm breakfast from Eggsmart Whitby Shores. They then logged onto a live virtual event on Zoom, where Santa and his
Elves were waiting for them with a fun agenda of Christmas crafts, games, singing and dancing.
